最近与不少日本大的酒店集团的负责人见面聊天，听到几家都说起他们旗下的某奢华酒店评福布斯星级4星这个字眼
福布斯是什么时候开始评级塌指胡酒店了？又是什么标准呢。
福布斯旅游指南的东家是美孚石油，早在1958年，这家公司就开始指派员工评价餐厅酒店和spa。2009年由于商业伙伴福布斯的加入，由原来的美弗评星（Mobile Stars）更名为福布斯旅游指南（Forbus Travel Guide）。虽然不及米其林那般驰名，但酒店评价方面福布斯指南更复权威性。这家独立评级公司的Slogan关于我们验证豪华（we verify luxury）的表述，让人一眼便知：能入榜的只能是豪华设施。
那么，福布斯指南有几个星级？如何评定？
这个指南对酒店舍弃了1、2星评级，对3星只做为推荐。只专注于高端和奢华级酒店。对五星级评定，福布斯表示“我们对这个星级非常吝啬”（we are very stingy on the five star rating）,只能给予“完美无暇的，无痕的最高级别对客服务的酒店”（relentless, seamless commitment to the highest guest standard）。
与OTA用户自发的评论不同，福布斯的调查人员会自己前往世界各地，多达800项独立客观的标准对每一逗悄处设施亲自检验，严格团拦打分确定评级。

看完这个榜，就知道审查标准很严格。整体感觉上还是以耳熟能详的国际品牌为主。日本当地品牌上榜不多，能上榜的一定是佼佼者，但是不等于没上榜的水准就不够。或许是评定人员没有听过没有到过，也或许是西方的标准和当地标准有一定的差距。毕竟，作为当地酒店除了外国游客，本地客人占大部分，提供的也会根据实际入住的主要客源需求而不同。
旅游形态越来越多，奢华之外，小众独立的酒店，客栈，公寓、甚至野奢的露营酒店也不断出现，每次尝试不同体验，也许旅途会更丰富多彩。
